Brakes are everything!
Spend the extra coin on a nice trailer with DISCs on all three axles.
I just moved a 42 #6 Tiger on a steel MYCO, with two Sterlings on pallets in the back of my truck.... I've never seen my 1 ton dually squat like that before, but everything was smooth.... The 454 and 4l80E did fine...I was just sure not to push it real hard.

It all depends on how fast you need to get where you are going. When over taxing your truck you better adjust your speed. I tow a 38 flatdeck with a 93 smallblock K2500, does just fine but I don't push it past 55mph. Truck does have 4.10 and tripple trans coolers, never tow in overdrive and use 4wd low to pull it from the water. For a bullet you should be just fine.

I tow a old 38 Flat Deck with a Custom Built steel trailer with my V10 Excursion. It probably weighs more them GLH's 42. I do use weight distributing bars and it tows fine.
