true, but if the donut gasket don't seal right it can do that, I only said since it was so far back, also look around breathers, if they are too full they will puke, non running and cold my levels are about 5/8" up the stick, also add pressure gauges they will tell you whats going on if they start to go bad on you....
May not be tail shaft seal , if it was a seal it would leak into the bellows and not the bilge . First thing I would is check tranny fluid level . There is a right and wrong to to check it . Fire up the motors run for a few minute then shut it down and check level . It just may be over full , could be a fitting .

you must be very cautious of leaks, these do not hold much fluid, once it slips it's done in almost every case.... I literally check all my fluids daily when running all weekend... I see so many guys never lift hatch, I do way too much but I know whats going on in there...

Thank goodness for forums like this, as there are so many things with these boats that I would never think to look in to. Always informative, and good nightstand reading before bed.

33 as a diagnostic , if is not too much trouble ,clean the mess set the boat in the water for the proper ride angle ( it makes a difference ) fire it , run it shut it down check oil right away . This way you can rule out the over full situation . If that leak is occurring quickly not likely a seal , it would have leaked sitting on floor before you installed . Double check your cooler line fittings . Just my thoughts on where to start , hate for you to pull motor if you don't have to .

It shifted fine for the first 15 min, but as the fluid started coming out there is a delay going forward and reverse, would that still be an over full issue ? I sure don't want to burn up a tranny, these are hooked to new 15in coolers
