Icdedppl went from 17.5 x 28p 5 blades that were done up by bblades, to 17.5x27p 4 blades labbed from merc racing. Boat was 5000rpm and wait prob 30 seconds to plane with the 5blades. Bolted on the 4 blades, planed at 3k rpm in few seconds. Prior to that, he had tried some 17x29p 4 blades, and wouldn't plane at all whatsover. These setups are very sensitive to props !

Did the 5 blades slow you down on top speed Frank?

Frickstyle , boat looks amazing!!

I bet you get those props scanned you`ll find they have little cup , I bet in the .40 range. You can buy big wheel 5 blades or just add cup.

This only helps a little

I wasted a lot of time adding 2" spacers when all I needed was the right prop.

If you need 2" spacers I have some for sale..or maybe Frank wants em back??

I found if you face the open end of the cup in at the hub it grabs more water and never use a red solo cup cause they party to hard and break prop shafts

Thanks guys, will report back with more testing results. Most of the small issues already fixed, just need to figure out props, then go boating.

I will post more in water pictures and interior pics this weekend.

Couldn't have been possible without:
Denny H - Marine Performance Specialties - Transom work and help with transport, original caretaker of this old tub

Dave - Colorpro (Glassdave) - where do I begin?

Dave - XT Innovations - best interior shop around

Gil L - Lieber / Lightning Performance & Rigging - again, where do I start? (rigging, rigging, troubleshooting, testing, fixing, guidance, and more rigging)

Dean - Gellner Engineering - engines

Ken - "Bad Dog" (I'm coming for you!) - engines/parts/emotional support

And many others who have either lent parts, advised me on what to buy, and others who have had what I needed. Sorry if I missed someone, don't be offended, it's been a long 5 years.
