Dirt caked to the bottom of the tank flaking up and clogging filters. Let tanks sit empty for 1+years during the build. Currently cleaning out tanks and removing the contaminated fuel. Should be good to go this weekend. Fingers crossed.
Had to cancel my Tres Martin class for tomorrow (Sorry Tres!), no way the boat was going to run all afternoon. I would get about an hour run time until it clogged the fuel/water separator.

Ha, I seriously thought about it.....
I probably could, may convince myself over the weekend to load up and head on down! Was there any cutoff for the RSVP?

Idling back after plugging the filters for the second time. Ran like a scalded dog before that!

Years back when I had my last boat the marina I was at switched to ethanol fuel stripped all the varnish built up on the inside of my tank. Took about a dozen filter swaps and a summer of running but it cleared up. I only use conventional gasoline in my cig but still carry at least one set of filters at all times. Gotta suck with you having blower motors cause at least when it was happening to me it was on stock 454s so they Would just die I didn't have to worry about leaning out and burning a motor up.

Whenever I lost pressure I was never above say, 3200RPMs, no boost yet. Last Friday was the first time I saw it make boost, and only accelerating above 4200RPMs, so no real danger yet. I was going to 1. Keep changing filters and let it work itself out, 2. make my own evacutation pump/rig and filter the fuel outside of the boat. As sson as I stuck the camera down in the tank, I decided to call in the professionals. It would have taken 2 years and about 30 filters to get out what I have in the tanks. Nasty, ugly stuff:
3rd filter change at 3 hours, around 50 gallons of fuel used ;

The stuff is caked on to the bottom from sitting empty for a year or two.
Previous owner possibly got some bad fuel + dirt in tank. Black stuff is dirt, and clearish brown is dried varnish. Turns powdery after it dries.
