Red face Battery charger Question

The owner's manual doesn't specifiy if the the battery charger can be left on while unattended. Any one know the specifics? I assume it becomes a trickle charger after batteries are recharged.

Thanks buddy;

Just don't want to overcook the batteries and have acid burp out!

I purchased an '02 Tiger in March of '03. The boat was new (dealer didn't have any luck selling it in '02). Anyway, everytime I saw the boat at the dealer, the shore power was plugged in. When I received the boat in March '03 I immediately started having battery problems. Since the batteries were only 1 year old, thought the problem was else where. When I looked in to it further, I found the batteries were cooked. One completely dry the other 2/3s dry. Replaced them with optima gel batts.

So, it would be wise the check the water/acid levels in the batteries if you continually charge them. Just my .02 on the issue.
