It's sufficient that you look in Offshoreonly posts....

Now one question: Wild Turkey was a former something or a new boat?

Didn't he have a boat called "White Knight" previous to the Wild Turkey? I used to see Wild Turkey in and around Barnegat Bay back in the late 70's. Nice looking boat.

Tripp,
He did own "White Knight". White Knight was Aronow's original "Maltese Magnum" race boat. This boat is currently being restored as the original race boat. Can't wait to see it when its done!

Thanks for the reply Robert! I didn't realize that it was the original Maltese Magnum, very interesting. Please keep us updated on the restoration progress. Did it stay in NJ?

Trip,
I bought "White Knight" a few years ago after finding it sitting (rotting) in a field in Heights Town NJ. I gutted the boat but lost interest in it. I sold it to a guy in Seattle Washington, he should have it completed next year. This boat had some unique history, this was the boat that hit a low flying heilocopter in a California race when it was "Maltese Magnum". It was later owned by Billy Martin from Bounty Hunter fame. I asked Bill about this boat at the Cambridge Md. race 3 weeks ago. This boat started off as a single engine hull, and was later converted to twin small blocks. When I stripped the inside of the transom, you could see where the 'patch' was covering the single drive.
