The story not compleat unless you include the Magnum Elswick raced early on, infact many begain racing with a Magnum. Like the add says , Magnum to much boat for the average guy

Bob Latham of Latham Marine was the throttleman on M-144 Evil Ways for Bill Elswick when they won the 1977 Benihana Grand Prix Production Class in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ. Bob and Kathy are two of the nicest people in the sport.

Heh, heh. I love the way the program censored Carlson's name. Maybe we should call him "Richie"?
