Yes it is. 2 years ago I had my 28 Arrow in same place as a Chris Craft 8M. One of my friends did a total restore of the boat.
I was very curious so I did some measure and I'am 100% sure it's from Magnum/Cigg bottom. It's intresting that the boat is named "8 Metre"? Is it a Euro-model? This one was sold new at Riva Italy. Did Riva really build the 8 METRE? I know the did some of the Lancer's. The boat had twin Volvo 350ci and 270 Volvo Penta drives. Now a single 496/425hp. with Bravo1 X. I'll try to have some more and better pictures.
The boat it the backkground.

Hi Lee! I remember the Wolverine boat that raced on Lake St. Clair in the 70's. It was great to see the nice patch. It brought back a lot of memory's from those days.

I have sure seen that many times in my life. Steve and I were at the lake when there was no bldg. at all just a pit for the travel lift. to launch the big boats of the time, I think the biggest boats we launched in the late sixties early seventies were the Thunderbird houseboats, and 32` Maritimes.
The last race boats I ran at the lake was The 50` Revenge Team USA with four 1,100 hp motors, the lake was a little short for her, but we still managed 135 mph. last boat was the Apache Heritage, triple 1,000`s ran about 117 mph.
I remember my first time through the Kilo on the other side of the lake. 21` Seacraft with a pair of 110 hp mercs, I think I ran about 46 or 48 mph, most exciting thing I ever did, then brought her in and Schwebbie put a little cup in the port prop. I think I asked for 250 rpm to be taken out, the hammers started banging and the cigarette smoke blowing, next I was testing. Schwebbie only managed to take out 249.5 rpm`s. so we banged them again for the .5 for perfection, and that`s the way it was in those days. Right Steve
Thanks for the picture and recall:
