Memoirs if the Cig. 36' Popeye was a new boat built for Visconsi or one former boat?
Do you know the serial number of the hull?
Do some magazines bring the builder of the Popeye 44' as Mands Marine is correct or MSV must be written?

Maybe the first three were Cobra Race Boats. The remaining boats which totaled 5 or 6 were pleasure boats Halpern sold with the race deck on them.
There may have been two kevlar boats within that group.
The first raceboat for Halpbern was built in two months and raced right away. It would be halpbern's first race with the Cobra '38 - that will tell you what year.

The 38' ex caldente
The third Beep Beep that in Kevlar then rent to Doxford
One of two first Beep Beep and to right that it seems was prepared for Doxford. Both have the same version of different cover from that of 38' in Kevlar.

Great MSV history Sonny! Glad to have you here, sharing it with everyone. At what point do the 34 & more rare 38 Coyote come into this production? I helped put together a new, all black gelcoat, Airex & Kevlar 34 triple outboard, nationally campaigned raceboat, called "Chaos", for Al Schwenke...and a new, all black gelcoat, 38, with 4 new Hi-Perf Merc Mod-VP outboards, called "Four-Play", for brothers Glen & Norm Speck, amoung others, back in about 1982-83. not sure.you will have to look at the framing in the bow to see if its cross framed with full ring bulkheads.
