Does anyone know the origin to the Sonic 31ss?

The 34 coyote went to Sonic. Jean Claud Simone designed that one. and the 31 Excalibur.

The 34 Sonic was actually a 38 foot Banana....then a plug was put in the mold and it became a 34 foot Banana. It was then used the same way to make a Coyote and both boats were built at the same time using the same mold......eventually the molds were sold to Sonic.

Picture 1 is the 38 banana
Picture 2 shows both names on the same boat banana and Coyote
Picture 3 shows the actual 34 foot boat

The Excalibur was made by Bill Farmer and was the base that Reggie Fountain and Gary Garbrecht used when they started what became known as Fountain, when they added a pad to the bottom.....and later a beak to the nose.

The 38' Sonic has a deeper V than the 30/31ss. The 30/31ss
has more of a rounded V at the transom. I really think
they are different.

i was told the smaller sonics the 24 being the first were taken from the donzi molds

And Farmer got the 31 from stretching a magnam 27 from what Top Nanna say's.
