Time does fly. We used to play HARD.

Sorry Guys I missed a bunch of years in the early nineties. I will go thru my piles and scan more programs and such after this race season.
Jim ,MR.ZIP was never a twin . I thnk you are thinking of Mc Combes TRITON ,which is the same boat just twin engines.
They also had a Cat once with ZIP EXPRESS but not an AEROTEK.
Are going to be in KW this year ?
Would like to meet you.

Scott,
I may be mistaken, but my memory usually serves me well. There was a boat owned by a guy in Virgina Named Wayne, he owned a corvette shop. It was a twin engine A boat back around '88 or so. It was clean clean. I remember it named Mr Zip.

Jim ,.......could be that he had owned a a-boat befor the Aerotek.
But the MR.ZIP Aerotek was and still is a single.
He also raced it in a-class but it was built in 91/92.
So i quess we are both right .LOL

I just try to find all the history from my boat, as you know that is the MR.ZIP AEROTEK.
For the $ ispend to rebuilt it ,i could of both a new one.
Ya just gotta love it................

Hey Jim, great pics and stories. You wouldn't by any chance have any photos of Brian Ross's Snap-On Scarab when it was used as a pace boat around 94 or 95. I have one very grainy photo that was given to me a few years back by a friend that was there as a throttle man. It would've been in the graphics pictured below.

Thanks, Wayne

The twin engine Mr Zip was originally this Predator powerboat, [Magnum copy] it was also called Little Miss Dangerous. The hull was built by Jim Clem of Lancer, Aero , Predator, & Awesome powerboat Fame. She was owned and raced by Dan Humes from Michigan around 1987.

Memories - had a lot of fun back then. Great pictures, thanks for sharing!

Post #70 - Bam, Liberty & Obsession, the way I remember it Danger zone won the first race, can't remember where we placed then Obsession (Bob Oetringer) won the second with us right behind. Danger Zone had blown an engine and was using someone's spare for the second race so we were able to get by them. That was particularly painful as I had lent Bob the props he used to beat us.
