Thanks Rich. Side by sides are out, that's for sure.
I spent many weekends in Chadwick Beach over last 35yrs. My cousins owned ocean front on Barnegat Ave, good times
I asked someone few weeks ago what hull the Cotner Trailers boat was and never got an answer ... I see now ... guess its a Corsa?
Best of luck,
Chris

Yes, it is a 1979 corsa. Previously raced as Xtras.
powered by 496 Mag HO. I though we had oldest OPA boat, but Bounty Hunter is a 1978, I believe.
Rich
Chadwick was the place to be. We had Rated X and Jolly Roger!

I remember two 37.5 ft Cigarette race boats from that era that were yellow in color.Could it be "Fast Company"(yellow and blue) #23.That boat was out of Florida."Rated X" (yellow and brown)#37 was from New Jersey. There were others, but I dont remember them being yellow.Let us know what you find out.Any thoughts of racing the boat once its finished. It would make a great OPA Class 4 boat. You would get to run against "Bounty Hunter"...and once in a while, the old "Slapshot"..which is now "Dirty Pearl".

el indio,
Thanks for posting the pictures. Many of us here in NJ grew up going to the Benihana Grand Prix races of the seventies and early eighties. If you have any other pictures of race boats from that era, please post them.Other 37.5 Cigarettes I realy liked were, Al Copeland's Popeyes #37...and Jerry Jacoby's Ajac Hawk #17.I remember the 1980 Benihana Grand Prix as one of the races ever..77 boats in five classes;inculding over 20 Open Class 1 boats.Bill Elswick won in his 39'Cigarette "Long Shot" #144.

Black Tornado, I bow to your knowledge here but I am sure Doxford had a 37.5 Cigarette in 1979 or 1980. It ran in Peter Stuyvesant colours in 1981 before things got a bit sticky for Mike and Ted Toleman acquired the whole team ( Cigarette, Cougar cat and the sponsorship) in 1982.

In the respective lists of Graham Stevens on Boatmad.com instead the same two boats are recorded as 35' ex Jumpin Jack.
From the photos I think that they were a 35' simply.
To this point I would wait for an explanation from Graham.
