Ciggy Info
Post 28 is basic data to stimulate further info to fill in the holes, not for Italian experts who have my lists anyway. It`s free in the same way as all my Boatmad photos and films are,as there is some satisfaction in making available to devotees of the sport. Even Italian devotees have had the benefit of free access. It`s a two way street.

I think that I have not been clear in my post #30: I intended to say that I don't understand because really from the States the imput often doesn't come as you, Nigel,me and few other are giving on boats builts there.
In thirty years I had not made progress in the study of the universe Offshore as I have done it in these last years of exchanges of information on Offshoreonly, Boatmad and HORBA. And this I think is valid also for you and others.

el indio,
Thanks for posting the pictures. Many of us here in NJ grew up going to the Benihana Grand Prix races of the seventies and early eighties. If you have any other pictures of race boats from that era, please post them.Other 37.5 Cigarettes I realy liked were, Al Copeland's Popeyes #37...and Jerry Jacoby's Ajac Hawk #17.I remember the 1980 Benihana Grand Prix as one of the races ever..77 boats in five classes;inculding over 20 Open Class 1 boats.Bill Elswick won in his 39'Cigarette "Long Shot" #144.

Wow, the Chadwick Beach Island talk takes me back. Spent every summer from '73-'84 at my grandparents on Ormond Drive. We were across the water from Rated X, loved when they fired up that boat! My friend Gary was the nephew of Jolly Roger's owner and we got to ride the boat in the parade prior to the Benihana race!
