Wow that boat is a work of art! What will she run and will the trailer make a long trip?

Nice boat how much. I bought one brand new in 79 went to floridia to pick it up. Mell Riggs helped me set it up with the drive and velvet drive set up . because I had some big power He said the small trs trannie would not hold up. . JOHN SR

From my understanding I have a "E" trans in this boat it is a Merc trans but from my understanding its the best one to have that was coming from someone who knew way more than me about it but I have had no problems at all with it shifts great and everything fluid is always clean I have no issues with it

Yeah! I think I know the one you have it is short. At the time I was installing a engine that we had removed from my flat bottom drag boat, changed cam and put some thick head gaskets on it to lower the compression and tame it down. The velvet drive moved the engine ahead about 8-10 more inches and the boat worked great, mel did a 1.33 I believe drive for me I know it was a 1.3 something can't recall,I had 72-c velvet drive 1-1 spinning a cleaver at 6000 on the tach was running in the high 70 's on a jones speedo,NO GPS THEN.NEAT BOAT.The narrow beam made it a hand full.
