I agree with everyone else on here. For one, those are not 420 engines. The valve covers are wrong, intake is wrong and the exhaust is wrong. If they were rebuilt a year ago why wasn't the bilge at least cleaned? If the drives were rebuilt why didn't thay clean them up? The interior looks rough. This spring I bought an '89 Formula 292 for $6000 and the trailer for $2000. There were 200 hours on the boat, 330's and Bravo 1's .All the boat needed was a rub rail and the sun pad reupholsted. Engines were clean, ran great and drives looked like new. As your boat sits I'd say $5-6 K tops. If you can clean it up then more. Right now it looks like a project boat. Projects will never command a high price! Maybe you can part it out for more, but thats a lot of work and when you factor your time you'll be in the hole. Here is what I bought: Before and after.

I agree. The 370hp and 400hp mercs came with finned aluminum valve covers. Those motors are prob 330hp units.

If you intend to buy boats and flip them for a profit, that's cool. But you better do your homework first.

FYI, I don't think all 370s had finned aluminum covers...

The only way to get roller rockers under the stamped steel covers is to grind off the oil tabs... 420's have Crane Golds and there is no way Merc is going to grind off the tabs.

370 Steel Covers

FYI, 1980 400 would have used the same rocker cover(75592) ..but with a different decal.. part#41764A 2 for 400 and part#41764A 1 for 370
