Restoring/repowering a Stinger 260
Hey all ! I am new here and I am just finishing up restoring and repowering a 1985 Chris Craft Stinger 260. I am new to owning a boat as all my other stuff that is loud has wheels, so I am sure to ask a lot of questions.
A little about the boat; it has 520 hours on it and it has been sitting in a barn for the past 4 years. Starboard engine went on the prev owner and he had it replaced along with both outdrives. 2 months later the port engine went and boat got shoved into his barn were it sat.
I bought it and in process of replacing the port engine and completely restoring the interior/exterior and the trailer.
I am sure to ask a lot of questions!
Will try and upload some pics on here as soon as I figure out how to....lol

Welcome FXDWGI to OSO and the Classic section. I have been resurrecting my 82 Stinger 260 since Nov. 2011. I had it pretty much done then on Memorial weekend I blew the motor. I'm just about finished building a new one which should be in the boat in a week or so. During the refurb I took out twin 350's and replaced them with a single BBC 501 which blew.
There are alot of great guys on here that are very knowlegable and always ready to help out. Don't be afraid to ask questions, we all have at some point. The only dumb question is the one not asked...
Again welcome aboard and look foward to following your thread...

Welcome to OSO!!
Every body here has questions about how to do just about everything...or where to get something...or make it fit. If we don't know something we ask each other. What we do know, we share.
So bring it on in and let's get you started!!!
