I think those cobalt condurre 300 boats were nice boats. I've only seen one in person, I think they were a little fancier inside the Cabin than the carrera , but offered the same performance. Cool boats

they were a nice boat. but a night mare to work on trim pums mounted along side engines almost imposable to change plugs. the boat had to much crap in cabin as far as weight goes. robbed the boat of 5 mph. they had lear jet design the cabin.i dont think they built 12 of those boats in 1987 at the imtec show in chicago they had one with twin 440s anf its price tag was 145000.00 which was pretty stiff back then. hell even now for that matter!!!

Thanks for all the replies. Where did that Cobalt go for 13k or is still for sale somewhere else.

I was just trying to get more info on the Carrera molds that Cobalt used to produced boats from along with a comparison.

Cobalt did a 26 also back then on top of the 30 footer plus was'nt the 26 also a Carrera mold ?

The Cobalt I missed was in mid CA and advertised on here last year. I like both but do not see that many Carrera's for sale either so I have thought about buying the Cobalt version.

The Condurre 269 was a a Carrera SS8m with the raised deck of the 30ft
The Conduree 300 is a Carrera SS9m , Cobalt borrowed the molds not bought them,
the molds went to the new Carrera owners when Picon sold Carrera to them, the new company only built CC models still using the same bottom molds of the 27,30 32 and 36 their factory was in Homestead Fl south of Miami.
That Carrera went bankrupt two years ago and all the molds are for sale as is the whole company.

Here are the molds for the 30ft though they may have sold by now.
http://www.boatdesign.net/forums/boa...0-a-45580.html
The only molds that have dissappeared are the ones for the 24ft.

The original raceboat DamnCarrera 30ft I believe is in Puerto Rico..

The 24 mold sold to scorpion and then lost in Miami. Supposedly sold to Midocean here on the boards and ended up somewhere in Tx. All told the molds of the 24 were in bad shape. Enough were built that new ones could be made...great boat (I had 2) ROCK SOLID!
