There were 2 30' "Damn Carreras." The first was raced by Humberto Picon. The last time I saw this boat it was at Skip Harper's shop headed to Puero Rico - same paint job but the number was changed to NC-17 frm S-111. The second was the old "Country Boys" boat that I ran with the Leonards. That boat was sold to Mandy Fernandez (The Jaguar/Ferrari Collection) and he copied the original Damn Carerra scheme. I then bought this boat from him and it was renamed "Karateka" and ran once coming in second to Carlos Capia in "Danger Zone" Holiday Isle, 1986. I sold the boat to Jose Rivera in Puerto Rico and that's where the boat was shipped to.

The last one is the 36' Damn Carrera that became "Vigilant" with small blocks and ASD 6's.

Sal Picon's personal boat was a 24 with twin small blocks called Damn Carrera Jr but it was not a race boat.

One of the boats I now have is a 24' Cobra with 7' beam with twin Holman Moody 302's. It was raced back in the day as Smidgen Too by Walley Harpers sons. The engine bay is tight but workable.

They were tight. The original "Damn Carrera" was a 24' and was the boat featured in many of the ads and the Yellow Pages ad for many years. The boat was all red with black lettering.

The 24 Molds were sold to Julio Deverona - became the 24' Scorpion. When Scorpion split up I got the 24 and 21 Molds. Sold the 24's to a group out of Dallas. They were in bad shape. The last 24 hull and deck out of the mold went to a guy from Coshocton, OH.
