Herman, need more information. How many engines? 2 or 4. Many of these had 4 gas engines. What size props? Diameter and pitch. I assume it is inboard and not surface drives since you state shaft and rudder. DDEC 6-92 are heavy engines probably 2300 lbs or so. The DDEC is only good for 2400 rpms so do the math.

But at 2300 lbs there still lighter than them Manns.Although he is installing less hp.The weight to power ratio will be better.Still not going to be a rocket. But nothing with straight inboard are usually.Just my 2 cents.Besides I want to buy that Cary LOL. JOHN SR

If you look at some Magnum 53's that had inboards and 8-92's at 700hp+ and they barely go 35 mph. The older fast 53's with Arensons ran 12-92's, big power around 900-1,000 hp to go 50 mph+.
I don't know how much smaller the Cary is but I think compared to the Magnum it is a much smaller boat than just being 3' shorter, maybe narrower, lighter, less deadrise????

i hear you about nat liq, ran me in circles on a 35 cig, but the cary's been there for a bit--- no other bidders -- no drama
4 bbc 415's= 50 mph
i would think that 4 yanmar 440's with arnesons should b close to that
