It's not the "Copy Cat" boat that was raced in CA by Don Carter and Errol Lanier

FLZ means the boat will have "Home Made" paper work.

Humm Sure looks like it, the engine hatchs look the same and the old Budwiser/goodwrech/copy cat/ did start life with a pair of number 5's and was last seen in Ca. But the two boats do look a little different and the vin looks like it says 86 which would rule out copy cat. Maybe it is systems which was bought by Kaiser in 1986 .

I'm sure it's not my boat Mr. GOODWRENCH formarly BUDWEISER My boat did go to Callifornia in 1998 and was renamed COPY CAT and Errol Lanier did go out there and throttle it in several races. I had changed the steering geometry on the cylinders and put Bonner Boxes on it to replace the chain boxes ie got rid of the counter rotation on one motor. chain boxes go the same direction and the Bonner had gears in one box to counter rotate. Bought them in "England the proto type set. Worked very well. Also mine was oin a MYCO trailer. Sure brings back alot of good memories JIM AGLES

Hi Jim I thought it might be your old cat ? Didn't you tell me that you worked the bottom over for more speed only to find it didn't help much? We had some great times @ your race in Peoria. Mark [EASTERN EXPRESS]

I've seen the boat in person about 8 yrs ago. The one that Don had (copy cat as he is in the copy machine business) was sold and cut up for scrap metal. Since even cat's don't have 9 lives this is not the same boat.
