Neat classic boats. The Phantom is without question a Magnum 25 Sport splash. One of the greatest classic hull designs there was. Looking at the business card my wild guess is that it
was laid up pretty heavily, probably by some Puerto Rican or Cuban- Americans, who really knew what they were doing. Love everything about it, even the color scheme is unique
enough, period-correct, and timeless. Anybody that will see this one go by, won't forget it, and that's kind of cool. Many boats in this color scheme were sponsored by Gulf Oil
Motorsports back in the day. I dig it!

It’s definitely a good looking boat imo, and yeah that’s what I kinda thought when doing a little research on them, the bottom looks identical to a 25 mag, and as far as the paint it’s been sprayed in the last 10 years I’d imagine.. cause there’s parts where the paints chipped and it shows it’s original color, which seems like a light blue, especially under the exhaust tips I found light blue.
also in the bilge and parts in the front of the boat being light blue. I wish there was more info of these specific boats and pictures of them from back in the day,
I was told buy the guy that knew the owner personally of the phantom company that they only made 4-5 26 phantoms in total and same amounts for the 31 phantoms so there definitely very rare and not many people know what they are

also in replies to being layed up heavy, the boat is definitely well built, boat is rock solid can’t find a spot soft in it, only glass work I had to do was replace the wood in the center part of floor that removes to access the fuel tank,
I did notice when I had it out last season the outdrive seems like it is buried in the water. no matter how much I trim up didn’t seem to matter. But she did ride like a Cadillac 😂 about the nicest riding boat I’ve been in a while
so I think over the winter I’m going to glass up the hole and raise x dimension up and cut hole for bravo which I think will help out a lot being that it’s lightening the boat up and getting the drive higher up outta the water so that should give me at least 5-6 mph if not more

I like the blacked out windshield, there is/was a bit of orange there....
Yes, worked out a deal on the boat. Been talking to PO for about a year and he was emotionally attached to the boat. But the Webbcraft is down for engine rebuilds so was hoping to get this for the summer and go from there. He had quite a story on the boat, as some of the boats that came from Miami in that era, but that's for another time....
Main thing is there are some automotive parts on the boat that need to get swapped out and getting safety systems cleaned up before we run it too much.
