Any 525 Cobalt's out there?
Curious if anyone has a (single) 525 Merc boat? I know there are a couple of 34's w/twins, but wanted to see if anyone uses a blue motor for a single engine application (and the #'s you are seeing). Any issue's with fitting one in there on one of the larger models?

I saw a 272 for sale a while back with a 525. I know it was an option but I have know idea how many we're made. I know the guy with the 272 wanted a lot of money for it but it was only 2-3 years old at the time...

There were a bunch of 262/263's made with 525's. I think they did an honest 70 plus.

Sounds awesome Doral! I've got a 272 with a 454 mag. It moves pretty well, but I sure wouldn't complain about extra power! What outdrive and prop are you using? What sort of speeds do you see?

Sorry been so long, I have a bravo 3 XR drive running dual 28"pitch labbed 3 blade props, running an honest 75mph at 2000' elevation. Best day,low fuel etc... would be 77-79mph. Boat runs awesome, total sleeper and she just launches out of the hole and just keeps pullin right to 5400rpm.

That's awesome Doral. Did you ever run it with the 525 but without the supercharger? If so how'd that work out? Can the boat still plunk along at ~30mph without getting fussy? I'm contemplating a 525EFI repower but Tampa Bay where I boat is often rough enough that I'll end up spending much of my time in the 30mph range (wife doesn't like being bounced too much).
