Default Trying to make that big move!

Have always had a small performance boat with inboard/outboard 496mag ho. Love the sound, love the ride, HATE the maintenance and being upside down on my head! Have looked at Concepts for a year now (rode in a 28 Glasstream and did NOT like that at all-nuff said). At 46 now, looking for the all around boating aspects. Can someone clear this up from what I have heard (not that any of this is true)? Boat is rather narrow and gets rocked in rough water? 30ft boat with twin 225 Verados has porposing issues on some of the boats but not all but twin Optimax are fine (thus the step)? There are a couple in South Florida around Hileah that look sweeet! Again, just rumors, yada yada but want to get YOUR inputs as the users and owners of these boats! Thank You and have a wonderful day.

I owned a 2003 30 with twin 225 efi's no porposing issues, I liked the ride of the boat. I had 3 power boats prior to this concept . Great with kids and swimming and hanging out, easy to clean when we got home. I sold it this fall and went back to a powerboat with I/O and bigger cabin. kids don't boat as much anymore and I tend to ride more. I would test drive them, if nothing else to see how the wind on you is different than a closed nose boat. Good luck in your search.

Are you speaking about the sport deck or open?

Default 30 Concept

Looking at the 30 (used). Going to try and make it down to the factory in a few weeks and take a little vacation from Uncle Sam! Can retire shortly after 30 years, tired of working on my engine upside down, want to extend my boating season through the entire year, want to be able to pull up in shallow water and trim up the engines, don't really need a cabin, and depreciation on boats is more insane than ever so I don't need the loss. Looked again at GLASSTREAM (not for me), looked on line at Renegade (no opinion), actually got to sit in the driveway in a 30 and was quite impressed with the fit and finish and fiberglass and wiring and such! Have not ridden in one yet. Will keep everyone posted.

Default 30 Concept

Joey,,,will try and call ya tomorrow. I have talked now to several individuals about your boats and others that made it down to the factory and they really loved what they got to see! I got a chance to look at a 30 and the wiring under the center console and man was it sweeeeeeet! The hull was solid and fit and finish man looked really nice! Kind of the best of both worlds with a Concept it seems!

Default 30 Concept

My biggest hurdle right now is if I will like going from a I/O ride and sound and such to a center console. Love the looks but I just have to ride in one and see if "this is me" per say. Talked to Sue this am, very nice conversation and she said 60-62 with the 30 2007 model with step with twin 225 Optimax with the arch. I don't really care per say about the WOT anymore, want the fun factor and versatile setup more, sitting in 3ft of water per say with motors trimmed up, or backing up to the beach with the motors trimmed up and walking off the back at Noriega beach in Destin per say, a late night booze crooze per say with the lights on the arch coming into the ramp, not worrying if the wife will fall off the front bow putting down an anchor, having built in coolers and just adding more ice and beer and no more carrying coolers in and out, changing impellers and plugs and such outside the boat, no winterizing, etc etc. Again, I am just hoping I like the entire ride and fun factor!!!!!! We will all know shortly, trying to get off work next weekend to drive and go do this!
