the pin out is different but the protocol is the same...

the connector above (posted by the OP) is using pins: A, B, E, F
serial data should be on pin G.
A = GND
B = Diagnostic "test" terminal
E = Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL)
F= VDD (+12v)
G = Serial data
speed options depending on age of the ECU should be 160 baud or 8192 baud
H = master/slave

J, K, D, C, = no connects

_____ --- __
F G H J K
__________
E D C B A

I had to take the distributor out of my 1993 Crusader 502.Its been replaced and lined up as close as I could get it to the original position but not perfect. From what I read I just have to put a jumper between 2 pins to take the computer offline to adjust the base timing with the distributor. Can someone confirm this and advise which pins they are. Looks like the half paperclip is doing that job in the original post.

EFI . I'm not sure if the timing light has an adjustable timing knob or not. A friend is bringing it. I don't own one myself.

Worked like a champ on my 95 502MPI, I couldn't find a led so I uses a digital multimeter in its place and you can just count the times it completes a circuit.
