Guys and Gals,
I have a Gen VI roller cam and GM style Hyd. roller lifters (with spider hold down and GM lifter retainers) that I want to put in my Gen V 502 block.
I can fabricate a mount system for the spider in the Gen V valley, that is not a problem.
I also already have adjustable rockers.
The problem is with the lifters and the oil grove on the side of the lifter, it appears that the grove will clear the top of the lifter bore and allow the oil pressure to escape, does anyone know for sure if these will work?
Would it be cost effective to have the lifter bores bronze bushed with appropriate height bushings to contain the oil grooves within the bore?
Otherwise I will have to go with the "retro-fit" MarkIV rollers.
Also, when I got this engine it had been torn down and the oil filter relief valves (plastic and tin) had been pulled out and messed-up.
Can someone tell me the correct P/N(s) for these valves (with and witout an external cooler) and where to get them?
Thanks for your help!

for the couple hundred dollars diff in lifter price, i would sell the ones you have and install the reto-fit, i have them in mine and there is no issues, it isn't worth the aggrivation
