Did you run a log on the 20 lb pass?
I am no expert on this. I agree using a 2 bar map but I think that when you go over 15 lbs of boost, the ecm is only going to think that the motor is running 15 lbs of boost. Thus only giving enrichnment up to 15 lbs of boost. When running 20 lbs the MAT is going to be warmer & I think the ecm leans out due to to the thinner air. So between the two you were running way lean on that run. Of course if you ran log and 12.2 was a/f at the end my reasoning is wrong.

4 pistons showed some visual marks on them so I ordered a complete set of 8. having them rushed. Ross has a 4 day turn around for an extra fee. Ross will drop ship to Swain for a skirt and top coat. I am going with ceramic top this time, Anything at this point that might help be a little margin of safety. I am also thinking about having them ceramic coat the combustion chamber, valve faces, and exhaust ports. Maybe the intake bottom to keep the heat off it
Also talking about a cam change. If I could get something that wuld make a little more in the low-mid 2000-3500 that would allow me to clean up the cruise range, I had to run it pretty fat there. and if there was a benefit on top that would be great. A 112 L/C and some more lift might me the ticket. while its apart why not.
I expect a few weeks before I get the pistons.
I am thinking about a cat, a friend has a 2007 Daytona with an ilmore for sale, I could sell the ilmore and my Krypto (i have the 534 that came out of it). Might be a good deal. if I could sell my Krypto and the Ilmore to recoop the cost that would be a bonus.

I thought about raising the compression ratio but want to run 15psi on pump gas. I know there are many variables on cylinder pressure, heat and detonation with octane and I feel @ 8.1 to 1 I am erroring on the safe side using pump gas.
What are you running for boost and compression?
Pistons are being made because I put a rush on them I cant make any changes anyway. But I did think about upping the compression raito.

I run 9 to 1 for more bottom end, I usually hold it to 15psi on top. Boost is a funny thing, the more you see on your gauge the less the motor is using. With the small heads, at 10 psi my motor made 1106 hp, by 12 psi it was at 1230 hp. On the dyno I ran 15psi on 93 with booster, for 7 seconds with no detination. On the water is a different story, I might run a minute or so wide open. At the cost of a rebuild and down time, I'd rather run race gas when I go to 15psi, just to be safe. If you can make more HP at a lower boost you'll have a cooler air charge and less chance of detination. And yes I found out the hard way, I have a box of black streaked pistons and blown head gaskets.
Thanks
