I am still in awe of a 7500rpm 598. You wouldnt happen to have a video with good sound of that laying around would you? It would have to sound wicked. mine sounds pretty sweet at 6200rpm, so I can only imagine.

Back to the thread. Don, have you discussed the cam specs with anyone yet? I would be interested to know what kind of lift and duration you had in mind. What about compression ratio, are you planning on keeping it low, like 8:1? Or even lower due to the boost you will be running?

I am having Mike Jones of Jones Cam Design build me a cam (they even balance the cams...)
I will get some spec's and post them. The compression will be 8 to 1, I ordered a pulley to give me 10 psi boost (should be close). I am told I can get away with 12 psi and pump gas on a long run and up to 15 on a short run. Of course that depends a lot on the cam and tuning. I think 10 psi will be enough for now. When I get the SCX I may boost it up some and run race fuel for the radar runs.

Yes nothing but the new Red zones. isky is saying they are getting 40% more time between failures. over there needle rollers. That should give me 125 hours between changes. I am really conservative I would rather be overly safe and spend a few more $$ than have a mess. once I pull them at 100-125 hours and take a look and adjust my service intervals from there.

Looking forward to some parts comming in and posting some pictures.. Maybe by Christtmas.
