You need to take a close look at the piston skirts. They will pick up that metal floating around and it will get impregnated into the aluminum. They will wipe out the cylinder walls prematurely. When ever I got that much metal floating around I always end up with new pistons.

If you are going roller you will need shorter pushrods. Roller lifters are taller. Should use springs that cam manufacturer recommends for the particular cam you end up using.

Who is your Cam guy ?
Check CP performance, Eddie Marine, there are a bunch of companies that make aftermarket coolers.
Take a look at the thread on oiling, make sure you have the correct relief valves.
