I Went To A Custom Fairing On My 292 SR-1! Need A Windshield?
Since I went to a custom fairing on my 292 SR-1
Pics of the W/S are attached, as well as the custom fairing I made, which is a work in progress...
I also cut out the "J" at the rear of the side glass and customized some new vents.
Maybe I could do a "work in progress" thread if anyone cares????

Hey, thanks for asking about the fairing...
Well, it is made from scratch, with no mold or anything to work with. The material used is the Nida Core material which was then roughly shaped and glassed directly into the top of the boat.
After that, a minor amount of filling in with polyester filler, then the first coats of high build primer, to begin the finishing process...
Here are some pics so far

The boat has been stripped to the bare hull and because it is a 20 year old boat, I will have to be replacing or refurbishing every single thing on it!
All new dash and gauges, upholstery and carpet, interior and exterior paint, etc., etc.
Since there is way more going on than just the fairing, I'll cut to the chase and keep it fairing related...
Here is the boat without the windshield:
