Here is mine. We moved from LA to GA so that slowed our progress a bit. Lots of blood and sweat invested but she is a lot of fun.

59.7 on GPS. We love the boat, coolers, girls. 4 blade propco,(kicks ass) beverages and all the gear. She may be faster with a 25 mirage,67 + but to me its more fun running the family and friend prop. I just tell everybody it does 60. Yep 60. I know your brothers best friend has a bass boat that will kill me.

On a lot of inland lakes 60mph is pretty darn fast and a lot cheaper at the gas pump. Rafting up with a bunch of friends, good looking women and something cold to drink is the good part.

Not the nice Resto you guys have but I've got a lot of work, sweat, blood into it this year. '87 Baja Force 235 with a 454/alpha. Best so far is 51 on GPS and I'm pretty convinced she needs head gaskets and manifold gaskets...
But I've rewired a shift interrupt switch, new HEI dizzy, tune up, trailer tires, drive refreshed and new gimbal bearing, and enough other motor work to make my head hurt. And of course a stereo install

Very nice.
And to the post above of "only" running 60.............., so what? Most of us spend 90% of our time running 40 - 50 anyhow.
I'm on my 2nd, identical twin O/B 24' Sonic. Had #1. 7yrs and loved it but so far it was 10 MPH's faster than #2 and current version.
I spent a ton of time and $$ keeping #1 running that fast.
W/#2 we now have it dialed in to run a very smooth/low effort 50 @ cruise. Cool thing is, w/these motors (no open exhaust like the last ones) at that speed all you hear is the wind and the wife and I are both digging that big time. I put wind deflectors on the windshield and we can now carry on a conversation and listen to tunes as well. NEVER able to do that before.
You get sucked into the go fast addiction and no matter how much money you have, it won't be enough.
Especially w/gas what it is........., I'm really liking the 10+ mls at 45 - 50

Yep best ride all season on mine was running 48-51 with 5 people on board for almost 30 miles, block island to Newport, then another 20 something newport to fall river. With a quick blast to 68 when we were almost home.

Spent the last two weekends at winnipesaukee and obeying the speed limit most of the time!
Boat runs 45mph on the gps turning 3200rpm's. A great cruising speed actually!

Nice work machloosy! The boat looks great you have done a great job!
I spend most of my time at cruise like everyone else. My boat is faster with the 3 blade I'm running now but I think I'm going to start playing with 4 blades again for better cruising speed.

'82 Stinger 260
Last winter I started off by gutting the cuddy from the entrance way on in. Removed the fridge, sink and cabinets. Put down all new carpet and recovered hull, added a port-a-potty, some benches w/storage & lighting to make the cuddy more user friendly. New stereo, amp & speakers throughout. Pulled the twin 350's and replaced with a single BBC 454 I had laying around. New 454 went in after blowing the other one up Memorial Day weekend. Check out my 82 Stinger 260 Facelift thread in the classic section.
