I raised the motors up another 4" and put bigger blowers with chillers, the total height of the blowers from the china wall on the block to the top of the flame arresters is 23". I want to say I measured out that I need 3 " over flush minimum

Bob what did you use for the flat sheet on your plug ?
Jamie, I started with a 1x4 frame then added and angled as needed, and braced it. Then covered, glued,it with masonite hard board, 3/16 thick. The back side is real ruff and the face is real slick. We use it sometimes for curved concrete forms. The concrete comes out real slick. Polished, hopefully I can pull a mold from it. Bob

I'll check back with you bob and see how it comes out! If it works and I can't make the mistress hatches fit I'll attempt that.

I'm with ya. That's the first thing I look at and the only thing I don't like in regards to the look of this boat.
I guess now ill never have the chance to fill it with warm water & bubbles and drink a wine cooler in it....like j's old avitar.

Apache style hatches ! The wife can lay down a towel and sunbath on the remaining 35'

Made a template of the engine compartment and just measuring and fitting. Made them out of 1/2 plywood and build stringers into them. Then took them and had a fiberglass shop wrap them. If i was to do it again i would have them smooth and clear the insides. Just easier to clean
