I just finished making a mini foam hatch. I'll glass it this weekend and see how it comes out. Was great having a small piece to play with and see how the foam is to work with. Now I just gotta figure out if I need 3/8 or 1/2" core cell
3/8 will work. Depending on how long they are a rib or two might be a good idea. Mine is not cored and very light. 2-4 people can be on it and no flex. It's pretty sweet when you can just pop it off real quick when doing work/maintenance.

When I do mine I'm just going to lower the bilge 10" on the bottom of the boat. That way it hides all the imperfections.

Thanks bud. I guess i'd like to just have the entire backrest even with the lip of the hatches all the way across. Might be something for next winters project....

Txt or email, It's hanging in my garage. Just a factory lid. Very surprised with strength vs weight. Prob around 20lbs
