Holly SH*T that is a serious chunk of wedge in front of each drive! That is taking a project way beyond just adding shaft surface drives.

Top notch execution in your conversion.

Previously had some experience with the Russian Tv3 and French Turbomeca Turmo. In fact, I have some Turmos for sale 1600hp with a reducer gearbox built-in they have an output shaft speed of 6000rpm if anyone is interested.
Any idea why the BPMs are so hard on props? driveline doesn't look any different to say an ASD8 the only thing I can see is that would possibly cause this is the N2 lag if the prop leaves the water as the N2 doesn't decelerate as quick as a gas motor would.

what are the 2 nozzles/fittings in the pic of the exhaust?

Not sure at present as I have all the batteries off giving them a good charge and test.
When in the neutral position I run the straight edge through and the end of the trust tube just before the prop is around 1/2" above the running surface.

Hope that's of some help J

Flat Rate
Afterburner fuel nozzles under the two nozzles there is a T piece one side of the T is fuel from a bosch pump and solenoid and the other side is air from the compressor the air helps atomize the fuel for a better burn.

Why has the T53 got those two heavy-duty cables on the starter? is it purely for the current draw on startup or does one supply chargeback once the starter switches from starter to generator?

It should have three 0 gauge and one small 12 gauge............ Ground, B+Spool,24 out charge. Charge its a 300 amp output. the small 12 gauge excites the field.

Been going through most of the electrics to get familiar with it and the boat has a ton of systems installed it runs 8 Optima batteries four for starting on 24v four on 12v for controls, engine, trims house, etc.
It has two split charging systems two DC to DC converters and two huge starter/charger relays that's the black things with six 0 gauge cables going to each one as well as 24V and 12V shore power chargers by Victron.
I must admit whoever John had do the wiring new there stuff as the electrics are a work of art.
I also found a Racepak G2Xpro datalogger that stores data from 71 channels and writes it to an sd card, as well as a running a custom configuration that runs all the gauges via VNET, alarms and I, think the startup procedure I have yet to breakdown the file further to check that out.
It's certainly a well thought out package with some serious development behind it.

Only criticism so far is the multiple leads on the batteries for smaller amperage equipment there all coming off and going to a buzz bar and some custom acrylic insulators/tops on the top of the Optima battery holders as I don't like the idea of a possible short across the terminals which have been insulated with rubber but look a bit untidy to me.

That rigging and condition of it looks
amazing!!!
makes mine look like a plate of spaghetti
and meatballs!

it looks pretty complex for a engine that once running does not need any electrical connection.Just fuel and air and lots of it!
If it was me i would draw a schematic of it.
