Default M3 Procharger install.....Move PS pump???

We ran a 174 blower on my buddie's baja all summer but now he bought an M3 Procharger. Looks like we have to move the power steering pump. I am wondering how you do this. He bought this used and it is not a 100% complete kit so we are on a learning curve.

Anyone know where you put the pump? Is there a different bracket you have to buy? Anybody done this on a big block carbureted motor? Got pics????

Any help is appreciated!

Order a bracket from ateco engines. Move p/s pump to port side. Alternator gets mounted low on starboard. Ateco is the cheapest on accessory brackets and they are really nice quality.

That should be a nice increase in power over the 174 blower

That's what we are hoping for. Motor made about 600 with the 174 making 3.5 psi on 517 cu in. Hoping for another 50-75 with the M3 as it should produce a bit more boost. Carb is going to nickerson and all will be dyno tuned.

The boat is an 89 Baja 250 sport. There is absolety no place to mount PS on the blower bracket.

My guess is your gonna see a lot more than 50hp. Even with low boost(6-7psi), decent heads and decent cam, I don't see why you couldn't do 725 easily. That 174 blower on a 516ci, was a waste of effort lol.

Will it be intercooled? What's the rest of the build
