Default Marine power pedestals

Anyone ever build a power pedestal? I want one for my dock, but, the price to buy a retail one is crazy considering there isn't much to them. Any input, please let me know, Thanks!

Building one isn't much of an issue so long as they are built to according to the national electrical code. Most the pedestal's have more things on them then what a private owner would want such as electrical meters and shore power connections for more then one boat. Ground fault breakers, receptacles and correct bonding and grounding are the requirements along with rain tight and/or water tight connections. Just depends on what your planning
