Default Looking for suggestions for small winter/spring projects please

Stock 502 Mag Carbureted, Fuel tank is out so that I could have it cleaned.
I boat in fresh water and its raw water cooled

Some projects I was thinking about taking on
1. replace fuel lines (they are likely original) what should I use?
2. add a great thread on inline filter. which one?
3. replace fuel water separator-current one mounts to exhaust but doesn't have enough clearance for a long filter, I was thinking about a remote mount? Suggestions welcome
4. Remote mount oil filter? current one mounts on exhaust and doesn't have enough clearance for a big filter. Which one should I use?
5. I read the thread about increasing line, bypass, and fitting sizes to increase oil pressure but to be honest I couldn't follow it. Is there a "4 dummies" version?
6. The drive is off to be repaired from my rock hit, can I replace the original water hose or does the transom assembly need to be off for that?
7.what about a stainless sea pump?
8. thoughts on adding a sea strainer?
9. should I upgrade the fittings on the fuel tank?
10, what about the hose that goes down in to the tank?
11. What about the anti siphon?

Other than the fitting of bigger filters none of these things are causing a problem but based on reading here it seems like some of them are logical improvements?

Thanks in advance

Ayuh,..... #1,... More of the same, Coast Guard approved type 1A fuel line,....

#2, ya got a filter, just move the bracket, 'n go bigger, no need for another filter,....
Same answer for #3, 'n #4,... Move the mount, 'n go with a bigger filter,....

#6, that hose is replaced when the bellows are changed,...

#7, if ya Need a new raw water pump, go for it,....

#8. If yer drawin' water through the drive, it's already strained at the drive,...
If ya go to a thru-hull, go for it,....

#9.Why,..?? That's where the anti-siphon valve is,...#11...

#10, unless the dip tube has fallen off, what do ya expect to accomplish,..??

9. 10. 11
I often hear complaints about possible fueling issues related to these 3 issues, hence the question should I upgrade since the tanks is out?

The oil and filter bracket are not designed to be side mounted, they was looking for wall mount suggestions and suggestions re the bypass process while I was at it

Both of my remote filter mounts use Aluminum angle to mount them to the transom and back seat bulkhead. I have a WIX33522 fuel filter / water separator and a Donaldson P550832 oil filter. I also have upgraded to the stainless water pump of which I am very glad I did. I highly recommend spending some time smoothing out the sharp edges. I also ported the inlets on my lower unit to grab more water and the water outlet inside my Lightning headers, water flow is phenomenal now. I have also replaced all my fuel lines with -8 and oil lines with -10 braided stainless as well.

Ah so you just fab up a bracket to use the existing mounts, brilliant!
Looks like that filter has a nipple on the bottom of it, whats it for?
Excuse my ignorance but is it a water separator also? Do you use an inline filter as well?
WHich sharp edges on the pump are you referring to?

The only nipple I have is for the filter to screw on to. The WIX 33522 is a water separator and filter, it's designed for large commercial engines and provides great filtration with high flow. The internal passage ways of the stainless pump are full of sharp edges and right angles. I took a die grinder to mine to smooth out the water passages to improve flow and also keep the impeller from chewing itself up. Like I said, at idle I have a ton of water flowing out of the exhaust now. I will be going on my third season with this impeller when I usually only get one per impeller and housing. The stainless housing has already paid for itself and it doesn't have a mark on it.
