Buy one for the 2002 Ford Winstar from your local auto supply or RockAuto.com

I believe the ports are round, the original the ports are rectangular. Does anyone know if you can just use the round ported one on the rectangular mount? the gasket looks like it will still seal the chambers.

Try a Standard AC423T part.

I am running run (just tested last weekend) and DO have a slightly increased idle speed. There is no adjustment or calibration on the PCM 555 motors and I did find a note in the service manual that states there are several different pintle shapes, so I am assuming that this is part of my increased idle. I will continue to investigate that, but at 750rpm, the Bravo should still be safe.

Also the "496 idle whistle" went away with this part and the idle is very stable.

Yes good info but yet no FORD MOTORCRAFT part number. I am getting a cx1766 shortly and let all know. I don't want to mess with a cheapo on the water and run the risk of a 1700 pcm failure. Spend a little more to save a whole lot more.

Looks matching up can be good but that does not mean anything. just like spark plugs. With IAC 's of different brands it is best to watch PWM % with the scan tool from cold start up all the way to warm idle to different throttle positions. I have tested the exact cross from BWD and the PWM was way off - in return the engine was harder to start, slight engine missing until fully warmed up. Put the Merc part number one back on and a whole different story plus more in line PWM's.

You can even have a great running engine with an aftermarket IAC but if you have PWM's higher than 39 from a warmed up engine at idle you possible will have problems down the road. If you are running at 100 % PWM too long after start up you will have problems down the road. I have seen this with some of the IAC's bought off line and some from Rock Auto. The engine ran good but PWM way off and in short order causing issues. Not all but more than a few.

IMO a few internet bought IAC's that failed and melted also was the cause for PCM failure as well. I have traced 2 back that has cause this failure. Watch and test the parts that you are using. I am posting as help and a warning for future issues and possible PCM failure.

Great info BUP. I would only use the Merc one or the one directly from a Ford dealer. They are the same as they come of the same factory. Run far away from anything aftermarket electrical on a boat.
