I think you'll be pleasantly surprised how the engine runs, after replacing the stock heads and 177 blower, with the brodix heads, and 420 blower.

Probably differences in Dyno method. Most are quoting numbers with Dyno headers and different correction factors. Merc wouldn't do those things, it's technically illegal for an OEM to.

Never ran the big chief heads yet.
The heads that made 960 where brodix HH383MC

Just throwing something out here. How big of an engine can I build out of my existing 502 block and still optimize my Brodix 325 heads and my 420 megablower. 540? Would a 572 be too big? I also have another set of 365cc BB2X's on another project that I could use.

I have no issue with overdriving that little blower to whatever it takes to make some boost. This is not something that will be pinned to the dash for 30 minutes strait.

A 540 would be good. I would not do a 572 but plenty of other people would.
Are the bb2x CNC?

I have a balanced 540 rotating assembly I just pulled out up a motor in very nice shape. Pm me if your interested...
