Default intercooler for a 250 B&M blower questions.

I purchased superchillers for my b&m 250 blowers and I have a few questions . First how should I plumb it in ? I've read a lot about using it's own pick up . Second what kind of performance gains should I get ? I'm going to also install the 3 inc pulley as well. Running the 3.25 now with 6 ponds of boost and 32 timing in it. 3rd question would I need to jet the carb up because of the colder air charge ?Has any ran the 2.75 upper pulley or will that over drive the blower to much. Thanks Robert

I'm in the process of putting one of these on my 525 sc...blower and all...my 525 had a chiller as well and it was plumbed after the strainer and teed into the main engine supply and went up and through the chiller....from everything I've researched I think I'm going to get a multi point strainer and just run it off of the strainer similar to what it was already....as far as performance I've read that you lose boost with the chiller which makes sense and mine has the Teague kit with the 3 inch pulley that is supposed to maintain the pre chiller boost from my understanding....not sure on the carb jetting but I would think you wouldn't have to as you're pulling the same amount of air you're just cooling it down but I may be way off on that

Running single carb I'd start a couple sizes larger than current jets. It's always nice lean back down than melting aluminum. You have no o2 wideband? If not you should. I'm not sure on your difference in air temp with inner cooler but I'd think apprx 20 deg or so. Old rule of thumb is one jet size per 20 deg plus or minus. But did I read that correctly your going to run more boost. If you don't get much response message Mild Thunder.

Do you have a 5.5" lower? And using 3" upper should be like 7pds and then prolly 1 pd drop to compensate for chiller? I'm not saying just asking and curious if that's what your thinking. I'd like chillers for my new builds however don't have enough room nor cash at the moment. Will likely add after I get a season on them even if it takes some hatch mods.

I plumbed my chillers, off of a single transom mount pickup. One pickup, feeds both chillers. 1.25" hose coming from chiller, into a "water manifold", that I mounted to the center stringer. From there, I have a 3/4 ID hose going to each chiller. And a 3/4" from each to a overboard dump. At 60ish mph, I have around 10psi of water pressure in the system. At 90mph, about 20psi.

While getting on plane, which can sometimes take a while with my setup, I can watch the Intake air temp gauge on my dash climb into the 140's . Once the boat lays over, and water starts pumping thru the chillers, it drops 30 degrees in a few seconds.

It would be interesting to see how the chiller does on a smaller blower like a 250. As far as temps go. I would put the chiller on, and 3 inch pulley, and see how it runs. As for the carb, what is your carb setup?
