The problem with those is the stress concentration caused by the thread. You can see how little material is left at the root.The fuel sloshing around causes them to fatigue.
We eliminated that problem completely by drilling the fitting out to the tube OD and using epoxy or loctite to hold the tube in place. Never failed one after that, never ever. You are going to want to do that in a mill or drill press so the hole is accurate.
I forgot to add you will need a longer tube and don't thread it!
