Default Sea pump sealant?

I’ve got a 2 stage sea pump… not sure the brand but has a “KE” logo on rear plate.

do y’all use any kind of sealant on the mating surfaces wearplates and “blocks”?

They have o rings but looks like a small amount of sealant was used on previous assembly in a couple areas, or it’s just some kind of residue.

I usually just lightly grease o ring seals but thought I’d ask before I re-assemble.

Also, any cool looking machined aluminum replacements for these plastic blocks or is it plastic for a reason?

It should not need any sealant if the O rings are good. Sealant may have just been used to keep the O rings in place.

I don’t use sealant and it’s fine just make sure you scrape off whatever was there before so it mates correctly
