Carburetor tuning book ?
I have to rebuild a holley 4160 4 barrel w/ vacuum secondaries, list #80551
Is there a book on tuning/fine adjustments to help it work better all around.
there is a comprehensive assembly instructions manual from holley on the web, and i have good help from 2 guys, but i'd like to dig a little deeper and maybe learn something.
the kit is here, just waiting on floats, any special tools tips tricks suggestions would be great.
Thanks

Just Google "Holley carb Book" and there are several really good publications that can help with your 'deep dive' into the world of Holleys.

The first thing I'd do is turn it into a 4150 by removing the secondary metering plate and replace it with a metering block so you can actually change jetting and have 4 corner idle adjustment.

The first thing to do is ditch the secondary metering plate and put a metering block in. Otherwise there really is no tuning the secondary side of the carb. After that you'll need to test with different jets front and rear to get it to make the most power.

thanks everbody, books ordered !
griff, 2 more adjustment screws would get me 4x's deeper in trouble, "just" smart enough to know i shouldn't be messing around with this, but too cheap to buy new 700 bucks.
