502 need help
Hey guys i opend up my faze chain on my 502 and this is what i got...
So when it lines up like this the valve is hitting the piston..
But when i put it like this then looks like everithing is ok...1 cil fiering 6 cil on overlap..On the first picture when i checked the cam the 6 cil was not on overlap but the 1 cil had closed valves...strange...Allso when i removed the chain gear from the cam i see that there are nubers writen on cam...it writes 32 cam with golden letters...What are your thinking about this?

Might be a silly question but are you sure you're on the correct stroke in relation to crank/cam timing? Could be on compression for the crank and intake on the cam or vice versa??

One thing that most people don't realize is that when you line up the dots on a timing chain, it is not cyl #1 at tdc, it is #6. That is why distributors get installed 180 deg off so often. Cylinder #1 tdc is when both dots are at the 12 o'clock position
