The gap piston/valve 0.236 is it too big for my setup(6psi boost carb)?

I know that you have been struggling with valve adjustment and I assume that rocker arm was cranked down way too far. Valve adjustment is very simple. Get the lifter on the base circle of the cam, tighten the rocker arm nut until you have 0 lash, which means no up and down movement (this can be done with your fingers if you are using polylocks) then give it another 3/4 turn. Done. It is just that easy.

I don't think that number can be too big, but it can sure be too small. Without knowing lots of information, there is no way of knowing whether that piston to valve # is correct.

Thank you for helping me BUT when i did the valve/piston messurment i used soft springs so i dont colaps my hidrolifter and i DID NOT adjust my valves just lost lash and rotated the engine fev times.I wached video from COMP CAMS they did it like that( no adjustment just lose lash)

I thought that you had the heads off the engine and installed new head gaskets. You didn't adjust the valves after reassembly?

The heads are still of the engine..Wanted to make sure everything is ok before i install new gaskets. So these numbers are without head gasket just heads on block( gasket is 1mm thick)

I guess I just assumed that you replaced the head gaskets and then had the valve contact. So the valve contact was found during the initial teardown?

Did you replace the valves that were making contact with the pistons?? 99% chance the valves are bent.

I did the same thing once and installed the timing chain gears wrong. Intake valves hit the pistons lightly. All 8 intake valves were slightly bent.

You don't need the rocker arm on to check valve to piston clearance. Install light checking springs on intake and exhaust valves. On the over lap cycle around 11 degrees BTDC push the intake valve down and see how much clearance you have..100 or 2.5mm or better.
