Ok, but why change???
TB IV's are very reliable and to change the timing curve, you just need change modules.

Are you running a Delco esc distributor I have a carbed 502 and the spark is weak on the thunderbolt. Can I run the distributor and coil only or do i need a ignition box. Any recommendations on distributors.
Thanks
Jeff

I’m running Delco distributors on my 509s. They throw advance really early so don’t let that throw you. Set the max timing and let the idle timing fall wherever.

I used them box-stock from my leftover MPI parts. Coil, distributor, and harness.

Weak spark could be the coil or grounds. Thunderbolt ignition is pretty bulletproof.
