Flame arrestor mesh
So I am more than likely going to make my own flame arrestor for my boat as I can't find any I really like and my carb spacing is different than normal. Anyone know where to buy the stainless mesh material that's used in flame arrestors? I will probably be powder coating it so doesn't really need to be stainless I suppose....Can't seem to find it anywhere??
Thanks!
Thanks!

Think this would work or too restrictive? Going on top of a 14-71 with dual EFI throttle bodies...

MERV rating of 4 doesn't seem restrictive ? but when you suck it down the throat of one of those TB you'll know for sure

LOL thanks F2.....
Dr....what size of that you think? Not sure how big of an opening is too big and what's too small? I probably will at least double layer it for strength so could maybe go on the big side and offset it when I overlap it to cut down on the size maybe?

If I was trying to reinvent the wheel and make my own flame arrestor I'd try to duplicate the ones already available. Specifically one that's known to flow well out of the box. Multiple layers of what looks to me like a 1/16 mesh, or so?
