Custom oil pan level question

I'm also looking to fab up some extra oil capacity and drop the level a bit.
What is a good rule of thumb for oil volume at 750hp? 454 blower.
Dan said he runs 12qts in his 14 qt pan.
What about baffling in the pan? Or lowered level + a good windage tray is sufficient to eliminate the egg beater problem?

Oil level from the factory is relative to the pan rail on the block. You all could add the Exxon Valdese to the oil pan as long as the oil level dont come up any higher than the factory level you are good. The reason they just dont make the oil pan bigger overall and usually add wings to the sump area for more volume is because of slosh inside the pan.
As for the stroker and a qt low theory, I have two stroked tall block 427's and a stroked Mark IV BBC and all use the dip stick's factory level. For the 1/4" extra that crank comes down won't make a hill of beans when it comes to oil level in the pan but a quart low may.
