Link does not work.

The only way to post videos on OSO is with a link.

I assume this is what you have going on https://www.jrmarine.com/videos.htm

I’ve tried 1,000 times to post this YouTube link… try YouTubing “bravo 1 play” and it should be the first video that pops up.

Welp…. If I have to do that I’ll definitely have to have a marina do it…

If it is the gimbel ring which I assume it is… I got one quote so far:

Gimbal ring=$1547.00
swivel pin=$320.00
steering leaver=$300.00
plug kit=$30.00
Swivel pin seal=$28.00
Boots=$300.00
Trim sender (if needed)=$160.00
Labor=$1000.00-$ 1500.00
And they’re pulling the engine…

what else can i do to diagnose my problem?

Well, I’m gonna get a nut replacement for the u-bolt. Hopefully it’s just the nut that stripped. Do you think I could just get that at a hardware store? Or do I need to go to a marina? Personally I don’t think that tightening it will do anything, I pray it does because a nut is a lot cheaper than the gimbal ring.

Is the nut part number 11-862903?

If it turns out you need to rebuild we can sell you a complete transom assembly for about the same as rebuilding yours.
https://www.mercruiserparts.com/merc...-bravo-transom

In any case try replacing the nut for sure!! The nut could be either 3/8-24 or 7/16-20 depending on how old your transom is.

Nut is #23 here
https://www.mercruiserparts.com/bam/...30969/11210/70

Hmmm there should be a different torque spec for the 3/8 nut but at this moment I cannot find it.

Yes, that’s the nut that I thought it was. The two stamps on my outdrive are 0C899934 and at the top of the transom 0D312836. I noticed a stamp that said “R150” or something similar, is that referring to the ratio?
