502 efi gen v flat tappet to hydrolic roller

It is almost impossible to grind a roller cam with the same specs as a flat tappet. Your best bet will be to pick a cam grinder and send them your present cam so they can put it on a cam Doctor and see exactly what it is. Then try to get something as close as possible.
However what I would do is get a camshaft that is designed to work with the Pro Charger. Yes you will have to redo the tune but the proper cam will make a world of difference in the performance. And less chance of damaging the engine in other ways.

long story short. Went for à tuned 3 week ago. Made 635 hp 722 tq . Everything was perfect . Went back home Québec. Put engine in boat went for à first ride everyting was ok didn't go over 3000 rpm ( wife was there doesn't like speeding ) couple day later went back alone. Try real pull engine wouldnt go over 4600rpm whit à weird noise . It's was a #3 intake lifter ( flat tappet engine )eating it self aswell as the cam . Engine is apart . I already talk whit Tyler . He told me you change the cam you change the tuned. And need to be hydrolic roller . This is why im asking this question . Other option is to leave it flat tappet whit same cam ( new ) , but whit waht happen im not really sure ... what would you do ?? If cam spec are not the same I need to retuned ecu that meen money I already put on tuned and travel to Michigan goes to garbage.
I would not try another flat tappet. The flat tappet cams of today fail often compared to years ago.

if it were me,I'd call bullet and have a cam made w/ a base circle that can use gm parts lifters,,the lifters won't break the bank.
you have O2 bungs in your exhaust?

If keeping the FT is your short/med term solution.
I would agree that you now have the opportunity to source a proper supercharger friendly cam.
Gen V block will require the aftermarket link bar style lifters of course. Important to source quality roller lifters or you'll be in the same boat again.
What heads heads have got on the 502?
