Cam Change in X18?
Hi All,
I'm fairly new to the Donzi board.
I think this is my first post here.
I'm looking at buying an X18 tomorrow and I have a few questions.
The first is, in terms of accessing the front of the motor for a cam change, does the back seat come out farily easily to access the timing cover etc.?
Thanks
Evan

Re: Cam Change in X18?
The back seat cushion unbolts with three nuts. The rear bulkhead the cushion bolts to is solid. You would need to make an access hole to get to the front of the engine. If you are going to be trying a few cams it may be worth making a hole, otherwise just pull the motor.

THis is on a 76 hull.
Hey Geoo, how much work went into your hull?
did you spend alot of hours level sanding it?
I'm assuming you leveled and cleaned it it to be running those speeds
